Another Point of View

Buster Levi Gallery is pleased to present Another Point of View, new work by Brian Nice at 121 Main Street in Cold Spring, New York. The exhibition will runfrom April 5, 2019 through April 28, 2019. The opening for the show will be on Friday April 5, 2018 from 5:30-8:30 pm.

Brian Nice’s photographs are multidimensional. They are observant, yet abstract. They evoke memories, yet they also visionary. They are often narrowly focused on a subject, yet are often slightly out of focus. Nice pays close attention to the world around him whether it is his immediate surroundings or not. His photographs though they often include everyday, common subjects feel extraordinary. His use of light does more than reveal his subjects, it elevates them through either dramatic effects or fractured shards that look like underexposed bands. The result is that the photographs though fully engaged with reality lead one to experience different interpretations whether it is the abstract potential a subject has or its imaginative associations. This is work that opens possibilities to both share Nice’s vision while leaving room for the viewer to have their own.

Buster Levi Gallery is open Friday through Sunday from 12-6 pm.
